Head Coach Mike CorradoThe 2012-2013 season marks Mike Corrado's ninth year as the Head Coach at Villanova and his 18th overall with the program. Corrado was appointed head coach during the summer of 2006 after being named the associate head coach one year earlier.

The 2009 and 2010 back-to-back CAA and BIG EAST Coach of the Year has led the Wildcats to unprecedented success in recent seasons. During the past five years, Corrado has garnered a .576 overall winning percentage while posting a .630 winning percentage the past three seasons. His career record currently stands at 52-40 following the conclusion of the 2012 campaign, while posting a 29-17 record over last three years.

Corrado has led several players to individual accolades since being appointed head coach. Under his defensive tutelage, Corrado guided Chris Creighton and John LoCascio to 2012 First Team All-BIG EAST and Second Team All-BIG EAST accolades, respectively. In 2011, long-stick midfielder Brian Karalunas became the most decorated Villanova Lacrosse player of all time as Villanova's first three-time USILA All-American and the first men's lacrosse player to be named a first team All-America selection. Additionally, the back-to-back 2010 and 2011 BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year was twice named a First Team All-BIG EAST honoree. On the offensive end, Kevin Cunningham (2012 USILA Honorable Mention All-American, 2012 BIG EAST Attack Player of the Year, 2012 First Team All-BIG EAST, 2012 BIG EAST Preseason Offensive Player of the Year, 2011 All-BIG EAST First Team, 2010 All-BIG EAST Second Team), Jack Rice (2012 All-BIG EAST First Team, 2011 All-BIG EAST First Team), Matt Bell (2012 All-BIG EAST First Team), Thomas Croonquist (2012 All-BIG EAST Second Team), Michael Vigilante (2012 All-BIG EAST Second Team), Paul Webber (2010 USILA Honorable Mention All-American, BIG EAST Midfielder of the Year, First Team All-BIG EAST) and Mark Scioscia (2010 All-BIG EAST Second Team) have all earned national recognition under Corrado's expertise.

In November of 2005, Corrado was inducted into the Villanova Varsity Club Hall of Fame, being just the fourth lacrosse player to ever receive this honor. Previous inductees from the men's lacrosse program include Bob Adams (Class of 1980), Bill Hook (1980) and teammate Drew Cunningham (1985).

Corrado received his Master's degree in Education from Temple University in 2002. Michael and his wife, Valerie, live in Drexel Hill, Pa. with their son, Matthew.
 
Associate Head Coach Simon ConnorSimon Connor returns to the Villanova sidelines for his ninth season as the top assistant on Michael Corrado's staff and his third as Associate Head Coach for the 2012-2013 season. Connor was promoted to his current position in June, 2010.

Throughout his duration under Corrado, Connor has helped Villanova reach national recognition as one of the top lacrosse programs in the country. He is heavily involved in all aspects of the program and is directly responsible for the inception and direction of the offense, preparing scouting reports, designing game plans, assisting in player development and acting as the recruiting coordinator.

Over the past three seasons, Connor has played a significant role in Villanova's .630 winning percentage in addition to helping the Wildcats solidify their position as one of the nation's elite after being ranked well inside the top-20 for all 16 weeks during the regular season in 2012. Additionally, Connor's man-up offense finished the season ranked 2nd in the nation, converting on just over 49% of their opportunities.

 
Connor has also helped several players earn regional and national distinction under his direction. Nationally, Connor has guided four former players into the professional lacrosse ranks in Cunningham, Karalunas, Heidenberger and Mikey Haas. in 2012, Cunningham was chosen as the 19th overall selection in the Major League Lacrosse Collegiate Draft by the Boston Cannons, and one year prior, Karalunas was the 35th overall pick by the Long Island Lizards. In 2007, Haas was drafted into the National Lacrosse League by the New York Titans while Heidenberger was also a member of the Long Island Lizards.
 
A 2004 Villanova alumnus, Connor holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. He currently resides in Conshohocken, Pa.
Assistant Coach Andy German

Assistant Coach Andy GermanAndy German returns to the Villanova sideline for his third season as an assistant men's lacrosse coach in 2012-2013. Under head coach Michael Corrado, German serves as the defensive coordinator in addition to assisting in practice and game preparation.

In his second year on the Main Line, German has played a significant role in helping tAssistant Coach Andy Germanhe Wildcats solidify their position as one of the nation's elite after being ranked well inside the top-20 for all 16 weeks during the regular season in 2012. In 2011, German helped guide the Wildcats to their highest ranking in program history at No. 7 in the Nike/Inside Lacrosse and USILA polls.

German has also helped several players earn regional and national distinction under his direction. Director of Operations John DerhamJohn "Woody" Derham is in his 12th season with the men's lacosse team as he enters the 2012-2013 season. In July 2010, he was named the Director of Operations under Head Coach Michael Corrado and will serve as a liaison to Villanova lacrosse alumni and perDirector of Operations John Derhamform outreach on behalf of the program.

Prior to being named the Director of Operations, Derham had been instrumental in developing the Wildcats into one of the nation's best teams at the faceoff position. Former Villanova specialist Chris Colliniates ended his collegiate career with a .621 faceoff win percentage, ranking among the top five in the nation and led the entire country in ground balls per game under Derham's teaching. Additionally, Colliniates became the all-time leading faceoff man in program history and was drafted by the New Jersey Pride in the June 2007 MLL Draft.

Derham, a 1988 Villanova alumnus, founded a privately held media based technology company where he serves as President and CEO. He resides in Bucks County, Pa.
 
Volunteer Assistant Coach Joe CanusoJoe Canuso returns for his seventh season on the Villanova sidelines as a Volunteer Assistant Coach for the 2012-2013 season. His responsibilities include assisting in goalkeeper and defensive development.

Canuso, a four-year starter and captain for the Wildcats, graduated as one of the most decorated athletes in program history. The Moorestown, N.J. native is Villanova's all-time leader with 672 saves and spent most of his career at the top of NCAA stanVolunteer Assistant Coach Joe Canusodings in save percentage and goals against average. He still holds the Colonial Athletic Association single-season record for goals against average with 6.07 in 2003. In 2010, Canuso was honored by the CAA and named to its Silver Anniversary Team, honoring the most outstanding athletes to play men's lacrosse in the conference since it became a championship sport in 2002.

As a player, Canuso amassed an impressive list of accolades including being named the 2004 CAA Player of the Year and 2003 CAA Rookie of the Year. He was a three-time selection to the CAA Second Team and earned CAA First Team honors during the 2004 season. For his final season in 2006, Canuso was tabbed as a Preseason All-American, named to the Tewaaraton Trophy Watch List and was selected to play in the prestigious USILA Division I North/South Senior All-Star
game.

Canuso, a 2006 Villanova alumnus, graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications. He currently resides in Conshohocken, Pa. and works as a manager in shipping and receiving for Louis P. Canuso Inc.
